Caterina Baldi
Illustrator, Author, Translator Caterina Baldi is an Italian illustrator, author, literary translator and editorial professional with over a decade of experience in children's publishing. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with publishers including Gallimard Jeunesse, Mondadori, Settenove, Loescher and MyLife Editions, working across illustration, literary translation, editorial development and ghostwriting. This broad experience has given her a deep understanding of the publishing process, from the first manuscript to the finished book. As an illustrator, her work has been published internationally and combines expressive characters with emotionally engaging storytelling. As a translator, she has translated numerous books from English into Italian, specialising in children's literature, non-fiction and personal development. Caterina holds degrees in Visual Arts and Modern Literature, as well as a Master's in Literary Translation. She also studied Illustration and Animation at the Scuola del Libro in Urbino and was selected for the Bologna Children's Book Fair Illustrators Exhibition in 2011. Whether illustrating, writing, translating or developing editorial projects, her goal is always the same: to create books that inspire curiosity, emotion and lasting connections with readers.
